Salvation

Deliverance from sin and its consequences received by faith in Christ.​

 

Romans 10:13- For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:9-10

 

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. Romans 5:10

​

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

 

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21 

 

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12

And the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. 1 Timothy 1:14-16

 

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. 2 Timothy 1:9

But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ 1 Thessalonians 5:8-9

​

He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:2

Love

​

John 3:16- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

​

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7

​

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8

 

We love because he first loved us. 1 John 14:19

 

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5

 

Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Corinthians 16:14

​

With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2

​

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Romans 12:9

​

And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:31

Mercy

Even when we deserve punishment, God always gives us a second chance. His mercy was demonstrated on the cross. 

 

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4-5

​

Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love,for they have been from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord! Psalm 25:6-7

 

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! Psalm 51:1-2

​

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. Psalm 103:8

​

Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. Micah 7:18

​

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age. Titus 2:11-12

​

Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him. Isaiah 30:18

​

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Matthew 5:7

​

Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners. Matthew 9:13

Grace

The free and unmerited gift from God that was demonstrated through Jesus at the cross.

​

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

​

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 2:9

​

Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. 2 Corinthians 2:12

​

But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift. Ephesians 4:7

​

And are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus Romans 3:24

​

For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17

​

Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began 1 Timothy 1:9

​

You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus 2 Timothy 2:1

​

The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you. 2 Timothy 4:22

​

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

​

So that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:45

​

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3:16

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 2 Peter 1:2

Forgiveness

Forgiveness

To forgive or be given, to stop being angry/resentful toward someone for a wrong

​

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

​

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace Ephesians 1:7

​

To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God by walking in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. Daniel 9:9-10

​

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14

​

Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners. Matthew 9:13

​

For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Matthew 26:28

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

Forgiveness toward others

To forgive or be given, to stop being angry/resentful toward someone for a wrong

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15

​

bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Colossians 3:13

​
